USA – Anti-Dumping Duties

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) determined that there is ‘reasonable indication’ that US industry has been harmed by the imports of certain corrosion resistant steel products from China, India, Italy, Korea, and Taiwan. CVD investigations are conducted to determine whether or not foreign governments are subsidizing the production of materials to be sold in the United States.

The American Trade enforcement Effectiveness Act was signed into law recently by President Obama. This law gives American manufacturers more power in their claims of injury as a result of dumping and subsidizing of certain goods into the United States market from foreign imports.
