As a representative of the Obama Administration, Secretary Kerry is supporting congressional action to lift the decade’s long embargo on Cuba. He has also urged the Cuban Government to reciprocate. This push could lead to a historic re-opening of US – Cuba trade. Currently, a bill to formally reinstate trade between the countries has not yet advanced through congress.
