US Customs Intercepts 424 Pounds of Cocaine in Los Angeles

US Customs officers on the Anti-terrorism Contraband Enforcement Team (A-TCET) intercepted 424 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $8.08 million dollars. These drugs were concealed in a shipment of tires from South America. CBP Port Director Carlos Martel called this “one of the most significant narcotics interceptions in recent years.”
