US Customs Delays TSCA Change Implementation

On January 20th, the White House issued instructions to delay any regulatory changes that have not yet gone into effect.  In the case of TSCA (Toxic Substance Control Act) certificates, this delays the elimination of blanket negative certifications through the ACE system.  CBP stated that this is “to provide additional time for affected entities to become familiar with the increased flexibilities and new processes of the final regulations…”  The changes were to become effective January 26, 2017.
