US Congress has Bipartisan Support for Ending US/Cuban Trade Embargo

US Congresswoman Chellie Pingree met with the lead negotiator for Cuba in Havana last week.  Though the two parties are still far apart on trade agreements, Pingree describes the parties as having “some common goals” in the press release on her website.  In the meeting, it was reported that Pingree emphasized the economic benefit that trade would have for both countries and that there is “growing bipartisan support in congress.
