The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and the Customs and Immigration Union (CIU) served strike notice to the government Tuesday.
Approximately 8,500 workers are prepared to take part in a work-to-rule strike beginning Friday (August 06).
The action is expected to affect operations at airports, land borders, postal facilities, and CBSA offices.
The CBSA has indicated it will take the necessary steps to address any job action taken.
