As previously covered in the Willson eNews, the EPA delayed the requirement for TSCA requirements on composite wood products until March of 2019. However, a Northern California District Court invalidated this delay in implementation. The original enforcement date of December 2018 is again the compliance date. These requirements entail compliance with formaldehyde emissions, record-keeping, and labelling. An appeal is still possible, but importers should plan for the December 2018 compliance date.
