Transport Canada has provided an update to their pre-clearance program. This update includes changes to Appendices F & G as well as clarifying that compliance specialists cannot list themselves as the importer of record for the purposes of the Appendix G Pre-clearance program without meeting the obligations and responsibilities of an importer in accordance with the Customs Act and its supporting regulations.
The updated pre-clearance program will take effect on April 20, 2015.
