If your company ships meat or products containing meat to the United States, please be sure to inform your carriers to stop for USDA meat inspection. The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is responsible for assuring that U.S. imported meat, poultry and processed egg products are safe, wholesome, unadulterated, properly labeled, and packaged when these goods enter the United States. If your carrier does not stop for inspection, both parties could be fined or penalized for the error. Please inform the drivers of every load to stop for inspection.
