As posted previously, (May 07, 2021 and May 21, 2021), this a reminder the Canada Border Services Agency made preliminary determinations on May 5, 2021 respecting the dumping and subsidizing of certain upholstered domestic seating originating in or exported from China and Vietnam.
Provisional anti‑dumping duty is payable on subject goods that are released from the CBSA during the period commencing May 5, 2021, and ending on the earlier of the day the dumping investigation is terminated, the day on which the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) makes an order or finding, or the day an undertaking is accepted.
The subject goods are usually imported under the following tariff classification numbers:
9401.40.00.00, 9401.61.10.10, 9401.61.10.90, 9401.71.10.10, and
9401.71.10.90.
Customs documents should provide complete and detailed descriptions in order to determine id dumping and countervailing duties are applicable.
For subject goods originating in or exported from China, the rate of provisional anti-dumping duties for which the exporter has not been issued a specific rate is 206.36%.
For subject goods originating in or exported from China, the rate of provisional countervailing duties for which the exporter has not been issued a specific rate is 89.54%.
For subject goods originating in or exported from Vietnam, the rate of provisional anti-dumping duties for which the exporter has not been issued a specific rate is 89.77%.
For subject goods originating in or exported from Vietnam, the rate of provisional countervailing duties for which the exporter has not been issued a specific rate is 11.73%.
