Reinstated 301 Exclusions – Update

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced the reinstatement of 352 exclusions for China origin goods subject to 301 duties. The exclusions will be retroactive from October 12, 2021 and remain in place until December 31, 2022.

CSMS #51515097 announced that the exclusions will become active in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) as of 7:00 AM eastern standard time, April 12, 2022.

If your company was previously eligible for a China 301 exclusion which expired, please review the notice from the Federal Register to verify if your exclusions have now been reinstated.

If your goods have been included, please be sure to update your entry documents to show the updated exclusion number. Additionally, we ask that you contact the US Regulatory Team at transitionus@willsonintl.com and advise so we can update our records.

Once that is complete, we will assess your company’s eligibility for recovery of previously paid 301 duties on the commodities covered.
