The final ruling issued by the FDA on September 15th will make it easier for the agency to destroy small shipments of illegal prescription drugs imported by mail or express courier after they have been refused admission into the United States. The consignee will no longer have the option to re-export the drugs, but the FDA will be required to give notice to the consignee.
