The Federal Register published the official ban on the importation of powdered surgical gloves into the United States as of January 18th, 2017. Â The FDA has acted to enact the ban because it has been determined the risks of adverse reactions to the powder outnumber the benefits. Â Additionally, non-powdered gloves were found to offer similar performance.
