The National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) has begun to prepare for a potential government shutdown if the funding bill is not passed by September 30th, 2023.
It is vital to keep international trade open in the event of government shutdown. The NCBFAA is requesting coordination between CBP headquarters, port inspectors, Centers for Excellence, PGAs, and the Department of Commerce to remain efficient and prevent breakdowns in communication.
