The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) would like to advise food exporters that the European Union (EU) has published new versions of their export certificates in TRACES NT for food commodities of animal origin.
The new versions of the certificates are to be issued in TRACES NT as of June 15, 2024.
The EU has confirmed they will accept the previous version of the export certificates if issued no later than June 15, 2024 for any consignments arriving in the EU on or before September 15, 2024.
Exporters and CFIA inspectors are reminded to regularly consult the TRACES NT system message updates for the most up-to-date information on upcoming certificates or maintenance interruptions. We also advise exporters to consult with their importer to ensure they always have the correct version of the certificates.
