Man Rescued from Lower Niagara River after Failed Attempt to enter the US

A Czech citizen attempting to enter the US by swimming across the lower Niagara River was rescued by boaters after being seen clinging to a log. The swimmer was met at the boat launch by Lewiston Police who brought him to local Mount St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.  After released from treatment, he was taken to the Niagara Falls Border Patrol Station for processing.
