The International Trade Administration has issued a fact sheet outlining the preliminary determination of countervailing duties on softwood lumber from Canada.  In this fact sheet, five (5) companies were assigned CVD rates based on the findings.  Producers and exporters that were not specifically named will be covered by the ‘all others’ rate of 19.88%.  This preliminary determination will result in the Department of Commerce instructing US Customs to require cash deposits at the rates assigned.  Additionally, US Customs will impose this order retroactively for 90 days prior the preliminary determination.  More details and the tariff numbers included in the scope can be found in this fact sheet.
