Invitation to Participate in the CFIA’s Food Labelling Modernization Phase II

The following is provided by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency

Should “best before dates” or “lists of ingredients” be changed on food labels sold in Canada? These are two examples of questions the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will be asking in face-to-face sessions being held across Canada in the coming weeks.

We want to hear from consumers and the entire food sector from producers to manufacturers to retailers. This feedback will be used to develop recommendations that will lead to a more modern food labelling system.
