The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is making improvements to the systems and tools used by importers and brokers during the import declaration process.
CFIA has updated the Automated Import Reference System Verification Service (AVS), including the AVS Tech Specifications, which has a new link required to submit to AVS.
Please use the following link to find the latest information about AVS: https://www.inspection.gc.ca/avs.
A transition period is in place until the end of February 2020 in order to facilitate the implementation of the new link.

CFIA follows security standards that are set out in Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat policy.
