GCP Facilities – New ECL Declaration Code for USDA
USDA-APHIS has made an update to their import data entry requirements for the United States–Canada Greenhouse-Grown Plant Certification Program (GCP).
Effective immediately, GCP approved facilities (including exporters and brokers) shipping to the US must report the Export Certification Label (ECL) separately within the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and the APHIS Core Message Set (CMS) using the new code A37 Canadian Greenhouse Certificate Program.
Reporting a GCP shipment under the Phytosanitary certificate code (A01) may now result in held shipments or delays at the border.
