FY2016 CBP Seizures of Counterfeit Goods Increases

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released the fiscal year 2016 statistics relating to seizures of goods.  CBP reported on their website that the number of goods seized for intellectual Property Rights violations increased 9% over FY2015.  Jewelry and watches constituted 47 percent of the seizures, whilst apparel and accessories were 20 percent of all seizures.
