US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released the fiscal year 2016 statistics relating to seizures of goods. Â CBP reported on their website that the number of goods seized for intellectual Property Rights violations increased 9% over FY2015. Â Jewelry and watches constituted 47 percent of the seizures, whilst apparel and accessories were 20 percent of all seizures.
