On October 11th, 2016, US Customs and the Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) will end the ACE pilot.  This week a notice was published announcing “CBP has determined that ACE is fully capable of accepting electronic messages transmitted to ACE.† The FSIS regulates meat, poultry, and egg products.  This pilot began in 2013.
