FDA FSMA Final Rule on Produce Safety & Foreign Supplier Verification Programs

On Friday, FDA announced that the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety rule has now become final. This final ruling includes the new minimum standards for safe growing, harvesting, packing, and the holding of fruits and vegetables grown for human consumption.

Also on Friday, the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Foreign Supplier Verification Program rule became final.

The FDA will be holding Webinars on the new rules for produce safety, FSVP and third party auditors.
