With the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) having been in effect a little over four years now, FDA has been working to meet the court-ordered deadlines for major rules. FSMA has changed the approach in how FDA will implement food safety rules, including but not limited to mandated FSMA inspections of food facilities.
