After receiving a request from a group of US chemical manufacturers, The Department of Commerce has extended the deadline for its preliminary determination on the countervailing duty investigation on PET resin until August 7th, 2015. Cash deposits of estimated duty can only be collected after the preliminary determination, but can become retroactive 90 days is the Department of Commerce finds that companies are increasing exports prior to the determination.
