Customs Reauthorization Law includes Rigid ADD/CVD Enforcement Rules

The Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 was signed into law last week and a key provision involves ADD and CVD evasion procedures. Under the Act, importers or foreign exporters that fail to respond to CBP questionnaires as part of an investigation may be automatically found to be evading duties, thus resulting in a higher anti-dumping or countervailing duty rate.
