Country of Origin Labelling for Beef and Pork Repeal is Complete

On March 2nd, the process to repeal the Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) for beef and pork finally reached completion. The Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) issued their final rule for muscle cuts and ground products of both meats. In December, the underlying statutes were repealed and FSIS personnel were instructed not to enforce the rules, but now the process is complete.
