This week, US Customs and Border Protection expanded the pilot program of the automation and prepayment of commercial truck single-crossing fees as part of their effort to eliminate cash and credit card payment collections. Â Carriers and Agents can make single crossing user fee online payments through the DTOPS (Decal/Transponder Online Procurement System) by computer before arriving at the border. Â The pilot has reduced transaction time by an estimated 30 seconds per transaction.
