CITES Species Listing Changes

The US Fish & Wildlife Service released a memo this week notifying the trade community of the changes to the CITES (The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) species listing.  Any specimens of the species listed on this announcement that are imported into, or exported from, the United States on or after January 2, 2017 will require CITES documentation.  If your company imports or exports animals, live or preserved, it is important to research the requirements prior to shipping.
