The US Fish & Wildlife Service released a memo this week notifying the trade community of the changes to the CITES (The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) species listing. Â Any specimens of the species listed on this announcement that are imported into, or exported from, the United States on or after January 2, 2017 will require CITES documentation. Â If your company imports or exports animals, live or preserved, it is important to research the requirements prior to shipping.
