The What We Heard Report for CFIA’s consultation on Framing Competitiveness and Innovation for Success is now available. This report summarizes all feedback received throughout the agency’s 60-day consultation that took place between January 18 and March 19 2021.
The CFIA launched this consultation to examine how best to position its programs, services and regulations going forward to help better enable competitiveness and innovation within the agriculture and agri-food sector.
To meet this objective, the agency asked stakeholders how it could reduce cumulative economic impact of regulatory requirements, promote increased market access, better support small businesses and Indigenous peoples with agriculture operations, and prioritize regulatory approvals for new and novel products.
