The CFIA would like to know if the proposed guidance gives food businesses the information they need to comply with the regulations for labelling and representing plant-based alternatives to egg products. The consultation is also seeking input from consumers about what kind of information is important to them when shopping for these types of foods. Industry, consumers and interested stakeholders are encouraged to share their thoughts by October 28, 2024.
