CFIA – Alternative Service Delivery (ASD) Policy

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has launched an Alternative Service Delivery (ASD) Policy.

This Policy aims to promote a consistent Agency-wide approach to establishing, overseeing and strengthening the Agency’s ASD arrangements.

This Policy was developed following two online consultations with stakeholders held in 2012 and 2015.  The CFIA would like to thank all participants for their valuable feedback which has been instrumental throughout the development of the ASD Policy.

An Alternative Service Delivery (ASD) arrangement is one in which an external party delivers programs or services that directly pertain to the CFIA’s mandate and that would otherwise be delivered by the Agency.
