Please be advised that the revision to Policy Directive D-14-02: Certification Program for the Export of Hardwood Species Regulated for Agrilus spp. to the European Union has been posted on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency website.
D-14-02 describes the Canadian certification program established to meet the phytosanitary import requirements, as prescribed in Council Directive 200/29 and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/412 of 17 March 2016 (EU Derogation). The directive has been revised to add the export requirements for ash destined for export to the EU based on a systems approach described in the EU derogation. The policy has been amended to add new certification options under a systems approach including heat treatment.
