The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing with respect to certain corrosion resistant steel sheet from Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after March 20, 2020. Where amounts of subsidy are considered insignificant, the investigation will continue but provisional countervailing duties will not be payable.
Additional information including estimated margins of dumping, estimated amounts of subsidy and provisional duties is available on the Canada Border Services Agency website.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping and subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods have caused injury or retardation or are threatening to cause injury.
