The Canada Border Services Agency has released the July 2021 Trade Compliance Verification priorities.
New additions to the list of targeted verifications include:
- LED lamps of heading 85.39
- Parts of machines and mechanical appliances of heading 84.79
- Other chemical products of heading 38.24
Importers of any of the goods on this list should be aware of all of the items and be reviewing past imports to ensure goods have been properly classified in the event you are contacted by CBSA.
Other priority verifications include origin and valuation. Second, third, and fourth round verifications, are being performed for some items where CBSA has determined consistent errors are being made.
