US Customs and Border Protection will begin to test the transmission of US Fish and Wildlife information through the ACE system. Importing or exporting goods regulated by the US Department of Fish and Wildlife requires a “Declaration for Importation or Exportation of Fish and Wildlife†(Form 3-177). Currently, the FWS allows electronic filing of these forms through their “eDecs†system which will soon be replaced by these ACE transmissions. Once this pilot is complete, expect the change to occur for commodities regulated by this Partner Government Agency.
