CBP Issues “Preparing for an Audit Partnership in Responsible Trade”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is responsible for preventing the entry of prohibited goods into the U.S. market. CBP published a document providing a ‘best practice framework’ for the importing community on the four core areas: Compliance, Social Responsibility, Traceability, and Remediation.

The “Preparing for an Audit Partnership in Responsible Trade” document contains specific questions in assisting importers and exporters in exercising reasonable care. Please take some time to read these three (3) pages and assess your company’s practices.
