CBP Issues CSMS Message Outlining FDA Response Time Frames in ACE

US Customs recently issued a CSMS message that outlines the time frames involved with FDA entries when they are processed through the new ACE system.  Important to note that, in this message, CBP outlines that Prior Notice Confirmation Numbers should be received within 30 minutes (based on the number of lines and number of entries received at the time) of submission.

Additionally, this release notes, “FDA does not have a regulatory mandate regarding entry review time frames when determining admissibility of the FDA-regulated articles under 801(a.)”
