CARM – Reminder to pay duties and taxes by payment due date

The following is provided by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Importers and custom brokers need to pay the CBSA by the payment due date to avoid any potential interest charges.

Details regarding the payment of duties and taxes on commercial goods, as well as applicable interest charges, can be found in the Payment of duties and taxes on imported commercial goods Memorandum (D17-5-1).

Sign up on the CBSA’s CARM Client Portal to see up to date information on what you owe the CBSA.

Thank you for your continued support.
