The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service will soon allow imports of Hass avocados from all Mexican States, beginning with Jalisco. Â Previous to this final ruling, Hass avocados were only allowed from the state of Michoacan. Â These goods must still meet the requirements including, but not limited to orchard certification, traceback labeling, orchard sanitation, and inspection at the packinghouse.
