Certain Copper Pipe Fittings -Â Statement of Reasons
For the purpose of these investigations, the subject goods are defined as:
Pressure pipe fittings and drainage, waste and vent pipe fittings, made of cast copper alloy, wrought (or “wrotâ€) copper alloy or wrought copper for use in heating, plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration applications originating in or exported from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, restricted to the products enumerated in Appendix 1.
Based on the available evidence, the CBSA is satisfied that certain copper pipe fittings originating in or exported from Vietnam have been dumped and subsidized. Therefore, on April 25, 2018, the CBSA made final determinations of dumping and subsidizing in respect of those goods.
The CITT’s inquiry into the question of injury to the Canadian industry is continuing, and it will issue its decision by May 25, 2018.
Provisional duties will continue to be imposed on the subject goods from Vietnam until the CITT renders its decision.
For importations of subject goods for which the exporter has not been issued a specific rate, the rates of anti dumping duty are equal to 159%
For importations of subject goods for which the exporter has not been issued a specific rate, the rates of countervailing duty are equal to 34,636.50 VDN
