Anti-Dumping Duties

Pup Joints (LE-2016-001 Notice of Expiry Findings)

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) hereby gives notice concerning the dumping and subsidizing of oil country tubular goods pup joints, made of carbon or alloy steel, welded or seamless, heat-treated or not heat‑treated, regardless of end finish, having an outside diameter from 2 3/8 inches to 4 1/2 inches (60.3 mm to 114.3 mm), in all grades, in lengths from 2 feet to 12 feet (61 cm to 366 cm), excluding casing pup joints, originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China, are scheduled to expire on April 9, 2017.

Under SIMA, findings of injury or threat of injury and the associated special protection in the form of anti-dumping or countervailing duties expire five years from the date of the last order or finding, unless an expiry review has been initiated before that date.

The Tribunal’s expiry proceeding will be conducted by way of written submissions.  Any firm, organization, person or government wishing to participate as a party in these proceedings must file a notice of participation with the Tribunal on or before June 29, 2016.  Each counsel who intends to represent a party in these proceedings must also file a notice of representation, as well as a declaration and undertaking, with the Tribunal on or before June 29, 2016.

Liquid Dielectric Transformers (RD-2013-003 Interim Review)

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal conducted an interim review of its finding made on November 20, 2012, in Inquiry No. NQ‑2012-001 concerning liquid dielectric transformers having a top power handling capacity equal to or exceeding 60,000 kilovolt amperes (60 megavolt amperes), whether assembled or unassembled, complete or incomplete, originating in or exported from the Republic of Korea.

Pursuant to paragraph 76.01(5)(a) of the Special Import Measures Act, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal hereby continues the finding without amendment.
