Notice of initiation of a re-investigation: Copper pipe fittings
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today initiated a re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), respecting certain copper pipe fittings (CPF) originating in or exported from the United States, South Korea, and China, and the amounts of subsidy of certain CPF originating in or exported from China.
The product definition and the applicable tariff classification numbers of the goods subject to the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) finding can be found on the CBSA’s Measures in force.
The re-investigation is part of the ongoing enforcement of the CITT’s findings of material injury issued on February 19, 2007. The findings were subsequently reviewed and continued, without amendment, by order dated September 14, 2022.

Initiation of expiry review investigation: Liquid dielectric transformers
On February 13, 2023, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review, concerning the dumping of certain liquid dielectric transformers originating in or exported from the Republic of Korea.
As a result of the CITT’s expiry review, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the subject goods. The CBSA will decide no later than July 13, 2023, and will issue a Statement of reasons by July 28, 2023.
The subject goods are Liquid dielectric transformers having a top power handling capacity equal to or exceeding 60,000 kilovolt amperes (60 megavolt amperes), whether assembled or unassembled, complete, or incomplete, originating in or exported from the Republic of Korea.
