Hot-Rolled Steel Plate – Conclusion of normal value review
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today concluded a normal value review to update the normal values and export prices applicable to certain hot-rolled steel plate exported to Canada from Ukraine by the Metinvest Group of Companies (Metinvest Group), which includes Metinvest International S.A. (MISA).
Photovoltaic Modules and Laminates – Expiry review determination
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods.
The investigation has now been completed and today, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of SIMA, the CBSA has determined that the expiry of the finding:
1. is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from China and
2. is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from China
A Statement of Reasons that contains additional details concerning the determination made by the CBSA will be issued within 15 days. The Statement of Reasons will be posted on the CBSA’s website.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its finding is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry, and has announced that it will issue its decision no later than March 25, 2021.
Certain Corrosion-Resistant Steel Sheet – Final determination
On October 16, 2020, the Canada Border Services Agency terminated the dumping investigation with respect to certain corrosion resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey by Borçelik Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş (Borçelik), and originating in or exported from the United Arab Emirates by Al Ghurair Iron & Steel LLC (AGIS), as they did not have margins of dumping.
The CBSA also terminated the subsidy investigation with respect to certain corrosion resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey by Atakaş Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş (Atakaş), Borçelik and Tatmetal Çelik Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Tatmetal), and originating in or exported from the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam by all exporters, as there was no subsidizing or the amounts of subsidy were insignificant.
On the same day, the CBSA has made a final determination of dumping concerning certain corrosion resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam, and a final determination of subsidizing with respect to certain corrosion resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey…
