The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) released the final rule which requires the transmission of National Organic Program certificates for all organic products imported to the United States at the time of entry.
This final rule will allow organic certifiers to issue certificates for a specific time frame and volume. This can cover a week, month, or a season of imports for the organic products.
The final rule will go into effect on March 19th, 2024.
