On June 15th, the White House announced that an agreement has been reached between the U.S. and the European Union (EU) that will suspend the Airbus tariffs for five (5) years. These tariffs were originally implemented under the Trump administration and applied to a wide variety of commodities from across the EU. After five (5) years, the tariffs can be reinstated if the us can reapply tariffs if the international trade ‘playing field’ is not level.
