US Customs and border Protection Agriculture Specialists discovered a rare beetle in a shipment of Persian Limes from Mexico.  During the inspection, the specialists discovered a live insect and submitted it to entomologists for identification.  It turned out to be Chrysobothris capitata (Buprestidae), a type of beetle that had not previously been in the Department of Agriculture’s database.
