On February 28, 2022, filing of USDA Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) Marketing Orders (MO) data via US Customs and Border Protection’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system became mandatory.
Products subject to AMS MOs include avocados, grapefruit, kiwifruit, onions, potatoes, table grapes, field-grown tomatoes, pistachios, dates, hazelnuts (filberts), olives, raisins, and walnuts. HTS codes for these products have been flagged with an AM4 PGA indicator.
As of February 28, 2022, ACE is rejecting any entries including HTS codes flagged AM4 which lack a corresponding AMS MO PGA message set.
