This week the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) issued a notice that the investigation into the dumping of tool chests and cabinets from China and Vietnam is entering its final stage. Anti-dumping duty is assessed to ‘level the playing field’ for US manufacturers by issuing additional duties on goods that are suspected to be sold into the US market at less than fair market value. This impacts goods in the tariff subheadings: 7326.90.35, 7326.90.86, and 9403.20.00. There is currently an active CVD case for these items.
