On Tuesday the U.S. Department of Commerce stated that they will impose antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duties on corrosion-resistant steel products and cold-rolled steel produced in Vietnam using substrate of South Korean or Taiwanese origin. These duties will be up to 456 percent of the value.
This comes in response to findings that AD and CV duties were circumvented by the shipment of these products to Vietnam for minor processing and subsequent export to the U.S.
